Michelle Woolerson
Woolerson Psychology
Michelle is a skilled psychologist with 28 years experience supporting adults across diverse settings in both the public and private sectors working in mental health, neurodiversity, chronic illness and disability. She is warm, compassionate and always enjoys helping others. Her core interests lie in neurodivergence assessment and diagnosis and supporting clients toward optimal functioning and personal wellbeing.
As a mother, Michelle’s journey to understanding neurodivergence was born from witnessing her son’s exhausting, years-long struggle through education, vocational, and social hurdles. Coupled with the isolating two-year search for answers and clarity, this personal journey culminated in her son’s diagnosis of ADHD and Autism.
"While working full-time and supporting my family, this desperate search for answers for him revealed my own ADHD, leading to a deeper understanding of what it feels like to function differently from “mainstream”. Having navigated this overwhelming and deeply personal experience, I am uniquely positioned to stand in my clients' shoes and am motivated by my desire to support others through their own journey to understanding."
Michelle has a Degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Southern Queensland and a Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation from Curtin University. She is also an APS Member and AHPRA Registered.
